Ceigall India Secures 220 MW Solar Project with Battery Storage in Madhya Pradesh
Ceigall India has been awarded a 220 MW solar project integrated with a battery energy storage system, valued at Rs 1,700 crore. The project aims to enhance renewable energy capacity in Madhya Pradesh and support India's clean energy goals.
Ceigall India received a Letter of Award from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd. for a 220 MW solar project combined with a battery energy storage system (BESS). The project was awarded through a competitive tariff bidding process at Rs 2.70 per kWh. Construction is scheduled to be completed within 24 months, followed by a 25-year operational period.
The integration of BESS with solar generation at Morena Solar Park will improve peak power management and dispatch reliability, addressing intermittency challenges associated with solar energy. This approach enhances grid stability and optimizes energy delivery.
This project represents a strategic expansion for Ceigall India in the clean energy sector, aligning with India's broader objectives of energy transition and decarbonization. Efficient execution will be critical to meeting timelines and performance expectations.
